There Will Be No TPVKL 3. Here Is Why.

Pin It Now!

NOTE: For all you people who are basically confused and will either not read or skim through all of this, I'm not putting out TPVKL3 right now because I do not have the time to release it and promote it in traditional Kwan Lee fashion. I want it done MY WAY, and supported how I support others. But you will be seeing another project soon..... REAL SOON. I'M NOT STOPPING. I'M NOT QUITTING. IF I WANTED TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY AND BE ACCEPTED BY EVERYONE, I WOULD ASK YOU WHAT YOU LIKE, AND WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. HAVE I DONE THAT? NO. MY WAY IS WORKING.

Ok so if you don't follow me enough, I have a series of mixtapes called The People Vs. Kwan Lee. I was supposed to release three of them. The first 2 moved better than I expected but things were different then. The grind was different. The game was different. I've gotten bigger and better at all that I do, but now I barely have time to make music and promote it right the way I want to because I'm busy keeping my brand as a whole reputable.

There are a lot reasons that the project isn't releasing at this time, but here are some of them. There was a big record that I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, wanted on the project that I can't get done because I doubt the artist I want on it has time to put his verse on the song, and I don't have the time to even do my part. I would still love to do the record, but I doubt it will see the light of day anytime soon. HIGHLY DOUBT IT.  And I have a strong and concrete feeling that this will be yet another release I really will see no support on from those closest to me, which HURTS and sucks.

I had planned to release TPVKL3 on June 6th, but I have no time to finish it and promote it right. Its practically done for the most part, but with everything else that's going on now, I really have no time to dedicate towards the final pieces to the puzzle with the project. Why? Mainly because Kwan Lee TV's stock has gone up crazy! Every other day I'm in another place shooting another video to the point where I'm up for 2-3 days straight editing footage. I WORK HARD B!

The one thing I extremely hate with the Kwan Lee TV brand, is when someone tries to sell me a dream knowing that I rap like tape me and I'll let you rap. I'm not one of these straight out the basement off Pro Tools with a J Armz instrumental rappers. I promote my music WITH NO HELP, I produce all my music unless its on an industry beat, I run my own company, and I built a brand people are threatened and intimidated by, BY MYSELF. I'm not one of these point and shoot dudes who has my footage looking garbage online, saying its HD just because I have a big obsolete and outdated camera or a 7D and a Mac still not knowing what to properly do with it. There's only a few clients who have something lucrative to offer me if it isn't money, and I respect them and appreciate them for choosing me to release their content.

Now back to the music. I have dropped things here and there and did the whole email blast, @ you on Twitter and post on your FaceBook wall thing to still not get my submission accepted for websites or radio shows where I know the owners or hosts PERSONALLY. Some people who know what I do blatantly ignore it either because they want to get ahead rapping first, they don't want to see me make it at all because they are scared I won't pick up the phone when they hear about a party I'm at or taping at to get them in for free because they fronted on me, or their boyfriend, shorty, or peoples are "hood stars" in their eyes and they really think they will make it with Instagram pics with big name rappers and DJ's next to them in the club where 25 people out of their crew put in on a bottle just to get in, ignoring the people who actually make better music than them, and work harder and smarter. It hasn't stopped me before and definitely can't stop me now. It takes time to get used to and I have been getting used to more and more over the years and have been quite reserved about it. It just really hurts (yes hurts!) when it is people I know outside of music and actually consider myself cool with, cool enough to chill with outside of this music thing do it. Then there's the "Politics".

"Politics" in a nutshell in regards what I do are those people or companies who are cool with somebody that dosen't necessarily either like you, thinks you are a threat, or both, preventing you from getting on their blog, website, radio show, etc., taking time out of their day to attempt to stop you from getting notified. They are even sending DM's on Twitter and messages on FaceBook to block me! ME! The fat kid from Brooklyn who couldn't get girls and was the 12th man on the bench in ball, and started rapping for fun, still surprised to this day that some people actually dig the music, and started his own media company as a joke to catch himself bugging out in the studio! ME! Trust, I've suffered and still suffer from politics happening to me, but, AM I REALLY SUFFERING? My websites rank higher than most of yours, I get better content, and I get love in other states and countries from people who either have never and most likely will never have any idea who most of you are. I typically ignore politics because I know what it is, but I'm just breaking it down for you guys and letting you know I know what the deal is!

I'm very appreciative of the love and support I do receive however, and wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world. I appreciate the DJ's, radio shows, and websites who do take the time out to post my submissions or put me on mixtapes, or interview me on your show along with posting Kwan Lee TV content. You help build my brand every time you put something up that I have sent or you see online when I release it, and invite me to come to your show. Without you a lot of people wouldn't know who I was and what I do. I may not have great content or great music to your liking all the time which is cool, because no one is perfect. I just appreciate the fact that you take the time to support me in some way, shape, or fashion. Thank you.

Thats all I have to say. Until next time, PEACE.
