Its a crime to share your thoughts and opinions online nowadays so I keep mum. I can't blog every time I feel like saying something. I see a lot but stay quiet because it doesn't concern me. Even if it does I refrain from uttering anything for the purpose of keeping peace and the friendships that my friends have with others intact.
Let's be real for a minute though. There's always someone trying to take out my media. There's always someone trying to discredit what I do. There's always someone saying what I can't do. Always a comparison. Kwan Lee sucks. Kwan Lee's camera work is trash. Kwan Lee can't rap. Kwan Lee's beats are too boom bap. Kwan Lee samples too much. I'm just repeating what I am hearing and told and even see for myself online.
Can I respond? Can I address the critics directly? NO. Because as soon as I do I'm getting phone calls and text messages asking if I'm ok, if I'm good... Bad enough I can't say something without offending at least one person. If all this is happening now while I consider myself a nobody, what the hell is going to happen when every word I say is judged on a bigger scale?
Point blank period, I'm focused. I'm focused on progression. Whether I have the support of others or not. I will succeed. I work too hard and came too far not to. Approval is my last concern at this point. When I succeed to my liking, ill be cool. Until then keeping my mouth shut and my eyes open...
